Phising Warning

Recently, e-mails that request personal information like usernames and passwords were sent as if they were sent by METU e-mail service. These kinds of e-mails, which are called "Phising", are frequently encountered in the Internet and they are attempts to steal personal information and use them for malicious purposes. METU - Coumputer Center, would never ask users for those kinds of information neither via web nor via e-mails. Please, do not, in any circumstances, give your passwords to third parties. If you have shared your passwords, please change it as soon as possible.

Spywares - malicious softwares that compromise the privacy and security of the users - are encountered on the computers in our Campus. These softwares can not be fully detected and deleted by anti-virus softwares. "Spyware Document" where you can find information about "Spywares" and anti-spyware softwares that can be used as precaution is placed under Documents Page.
